Gopal Dagnogo's works are exhibited in major exhibitions, biennales, galleries and international art fairs. They are also included in prestigious collections. Gopal Dagnogo was born in 1973 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. His mother, a teacher at the Fine Arts school in Abidjan, introduced him to art. He took his baccalaureate in Plastic Arts in France, and then moved to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso in order to experiment with traditional bronze techniques. The artist has been back in France since 2000 and is today represented by a number of galleries all over Europe, particularly in Spain, Germany, Switzerland and France. Since 2010 Gopal has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Africa, Europe, the US and Asia. He also participated in the 11th and 12th Dakar biennale in Senegal, Dak’Art (2014 and 2016), in the 1st Kampala biennale in Uganda (2014) and in the 5th Maiden Tour festival in Baku, Azerbaijan (2014). Gopal has been invited to a range of artist residency programmes, including ART OMI New York (2014). Some of his works are housed in public and private collections, including the Lisser Art Museum collection in Sassenheim, Holland.
