PATRICK DE BROCK

Patrick De Brock, a famous contemporary art dealer in Knokke, has spent the two years embarking on a new adventure: painting. Last year, the artist-painter was unable to celebrate his 60th birthday with a drink so for the first time considered exhibiting a series of abstract paintings that his relatives could admire by appointment. Last summer, Patrick De Brock was able to repeat the experience in Patrick Van Heurck's private art space in Retranchement, in the Netherlands. 

During the autumn of 2021, two gallery-owner friends came up with a project over a drink. Brussels gallery owner Didier Claes considers Patrick a highly gifted, born painter. No sooner said than done, the date was set. 

So for the very first time, the Knokk artist is organising a solo exhibition in the Didier Claes art gallery which recently launched a contemporary section.
